Pamela Chesson is CEO of the communal based lifestyle company, Kingdom Living, Inc.

With many years of caregiving experience, it was not a surprise when she decided to become certified to give care to the Elderly and Disabled population. She became a certified caregiver on February 25th 2005, on her 45th birthday. Ms. Chesson felt God had used her age of 45 to mean 4+5=9. Realizing the number 9 has a few meanings, she decided to incorporate two of them in her new mission. The number 9 has been called the humanitarian number. It has also been called the number of new birth. She felt the number 9 was an indication of both. Being a transplant to Hampton Roads from Staten Island New York, she believed this birthday was significant by being a humanitarian, while giving birth to her vision to help people in the community she now called home.

After the death of her mother Villa Chesson in February 2009, her family moved out of their home in September 2009 with the intention to use that home to service the community. The house is now named The Villa, honoring her mother who she took care of for 7 years in that home. With the help of her husband Kemp Jones, in November 2009, her vision for Kingdom Living, Inc. was born.

After attending several consortiums addressing the homeless epidemic in the Hampton Roads area, Ms. Chesson decided to look into how this issue was particularly affecting the demographic of the elderly and disabled in local communities. She has now become a volunteer advocate in the community for several people, while also providing her services to organizations such as Catholic Charities, The Endependence Center, The Judea Christian Outreach Center, Jewish Family Services, and Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, to name a few. Her mission remains to provide housing and care for those who are in need. Her motto is, “Everybody wants to have a decent place to call home, and people around who care”. She plans to duplicate the model she has used to offer more housing and care in the Hampton Roads community in the near future.

Ms. Chesson and her husband Kempner Jones Sr. have a blended family of 5 children, and 10 grandchildren.

They currently live is the Grassfield area of Chesapeake, Virginia
