Gary McCollum
Gary McCollum is a native Virginian, businessman, minister, veteran, and community leader. The first in his family to graduate college, McCollum served as an Army Rangers Intelligence Officer before a 26 year career in telecommunications. Following his retirement from Cox Communications as Vice President, McCollum was the Democratic nominee to represent VA’s 7th State Senate District, capturing nearly 46% of the vote. McCollum is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades and is a well-known community leader. He is an associate minister at the Historic First Baptist Church of Norfolk and resides with his family in Virginia Beach.
