C. Paulette Braithwaite, MPA  

Simply Unique Paulette Braithwaite, a professional business woman with over 30 years of corporate and government experience. She is a Virginia Beach, VA native, and CEO/President of Simply Unique. Simply Unique was established in 1988 and is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) small woman-owned (SWaM) in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Paulette has a Master of Public Administration Degree from Troy University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Business Education Certification from Norfolk State University. She is a certified paralegal, general mediator, and image consultant. In addition, she has certifications in MRT (Moral Reconance Therapy), TABE Testing, and is a trained test proctor for the Virginia Career Readiness Certificate (CRC/WorkKeys). She retired from the City of Virginia Beach 13 years ago with 32 years of dedicated public service as the City’s Special Events and Film Coordinator. She is currently contracted as an Adjunct Instructor at Tidewater Community College (TCC) in the Workforce Solutions Department/Job Skills Training Program (JSTP). Simply Unique is a multi-faceted company offering customized business, beauty and educational services to diverse clients. Simply Unique offers training that empowers people to believe in themselves and to achieve their career and personal aspirations. Although many of her clients are adults, Paulette has developed a program for young ladies entitled, “Lookin Good” that emphasizes beauty from the inside/out. Customized training is offered in basic computer applications, workforce readiness, business etiquette, customer service, personal image, and youth development to name only a few areas of expertise Simply Unique has provided since its inception. Under its umbrella is Simply Unique Jewelry, Simply Unique’s BEST (Business Educational Services and Training) and Simply Unique Image Enhancement Services. Paulette works vigorously in the Hampton Roads community. She is a 2002 graduate of the United Way of South Hampton Roads’ Project Inclusion Leadership Development program. In 2003-2006, she chaired and restructured the Annual Project Inclusion Youth Career Skills Building Workshop. She is well-known and a highly sought after motivational speaker/workshop leader.
